9:30 am – Doors Open

Those who have pre-registered on-line can pick up their registration packets, wristbands, and workshop materials, if they haven’t done so already. Those who have not yet registered will have an opportunity to register for workshops at the registration desk.

Plus, it’s time to shop! We’ll have more ‘ukuleles in one place than ever seen (or played) before and a wide array of fabulous accessories, books, and clothing to choose from.

10:00 am –  Workshop Session 1

If you haven’t signed up for any workshops this morning, feel free to join Janet Lenore on the main festival stage at 10:15 for the  Sunday Revival String-A-Long, a rousing sing along that will get your day off to a great start. 11:30 am – Workshop Session 2

DSC_0300There will be plenty of action on the stage during Workshop Session 2, as well, with the Bohemian Ukuleles, Alula, and an Open Mic, followed by the wonderful harmonies and hula of aHa Mele, a festival favorite. Or, you can check out some of our great ukulele workshops to hone your skills.

12:45 pm – Snack Break 

We know there are a few die-hards among you who will want to get in as many workshops as possible today and still make it over to Velo Vino in time to catch Heidi Swedberg and the Smoking Jackets, so there will be just a quick snack break today to make sure you can get it all in.  But, while you’re munching, do take a minute to catch aHa Mele, on the festival stage.

1:15 pm – Workshop Session 3

Hula DancerAnother very special treat for those of you not taking a more formal workshop during Session 3, a chance to kanikapila (play-along) with UFO, Ukulele Friends Ohana, one of the longest-running ‘ukulele groups in Northern California, under the expert leadership of Del Medina. Flight manuals will be available. A great way to end a day full of learning, singing, and playing, before heading over to Velo Vino to catch a bite to eat and Heidi Swedberg and the Smoking Jackets.

But, before you leave, please pay one last visit to the festival stage and join Nicole Keim for a couple of tunes that will send you on your way with a happy heart.

The best way possible to end your adventure at the Wine Country ‘Ukulele Festival is with a show put on by the irrepressible Heidi Swedberg and the Smoking Jackets, the freshest act to hit the ‘ukulele scene in a long, long time. Prepare to be inspired and amused as Heidi and the boys deliver up some toe-tapping tunes on their ‘ukuleles (and an array of other instruments, the likes of which you may not have seen before) while you sip on a little vino from the Cliff Family Vineyards. And if you’re hungry, the Bruscheterria will be on hand to deliver up some tasty morsels, Napa Valley style. A perfect way to end the day…..and the 8th Wine Country ‘Ukulele Festival…..right here in the beautiful Napa Valley.
