FAQ

Where can I find information about festival costs?

Different events have different costs. If you just want to come, check things out on Saturday and/or Sunday, visit the marketplace, listen to the music, meet-up with friends, it’s free. Free ukulele lessons for kids (8 – 14) are also free with a $5.00 materials fee. If you’d like preferred seating in front of the stage, an opportunity to participate in the “after-hours” jams, AND 3 raffle tickets, you need to purchase a $15 wrist band (a different one for each day). If you want to attend any of the workshops they are $30 each ($35 after August 26), or an all-day pass to attend up to 3 workshops is $85 ($95 after August 26) and includes the bracelet and 3 raffle tickets.

Tickets for the Friday night concert at the Napa Valley Opera House, featuring James Hill & Friends (Anne Davison, Lil’ Rev, Aaron Keim, and Gerald Ross), are $25, $35, & $50. The $50 ticket includes preferred seating and admittance to the VIP reception BEFORE the concert.  Tickets are available online through the Napa Valley Opera House box office or by phone (707)226-7372.

Where is the festival going to be held this year?

We’re returning to our roots, this year, and going back to the beautiful Upper Valley campus of the Napa Valley College, 1088 College Avenue, St. Helena. It’s got a beautiful quad for the stage and marketplace, actual classrooms for the workshops, and plenty of parking.

Is there anything happening Saturday Night?

Oh, yea.  We are still working out the details, but it’s going to be killer.  All we can say right now is that there will be food and wine and an evening of jazz, swing, and blues at Vineland Station in St. Helena with the (never-before-and-maybe-never-again) Flea By Night Band, with a multitude of special guest artists.

What’s the no-host jam at Gott’s?

It’s whatever happens when you put a great group of ukulele enthusiasts at the end of the festival together at St. Helena’s favorite diner (featured on “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives) with a mic and some speakers.  The no-host part means you just walk up to the window and order your own dinner (my new personal favorite is the crispy ahi poke tacos) and drinks.  Other than that, it’s free!!!

If no lawn chairs are allowed, are chairs provided? If chairs aren’t provided, do we bring blankets and pillows and lay on the grass? My back is very bad.

Is there a guide for the 0-4 rating system for the workshops? I’m not sure where I fall on that scale.

    Thank you,
