One for the Record Books!

That had to be the best one, yet!

From the Campfire Jam at Bothe State Park (seriously, the camp host thought it was going to be another Woodstock. . . . .yes, really!) to the stand-out show with Heidi Swedberg and the Smoking Jackets (and the exuberant Conga Line) at Velo Vino on Sunday afternoon. . . . .Wow!

Flea by Night Band with Nicole and Aaron Keim

And how about that Flea-by-Night Band, Saturday night? Yea! The minute they started playing we were all ready to “Shake that Thing!” with Nicole Keim.

Aaron Keim did a jaw-dropping number on the upright bass. And could you believe  Daniel Ward’s wicked fingers on the uke? Dang that guy can play. Not to mention John Bartlit. Did anyone count how many instruments he was playing at the same time? And that was just the back-up band! More than 80 years of professional musicianship was up on that stage Saturday night. . . . .and it showed! Yeh……we’ll be coming ’round the mountain with YOU, Heidi Swedberg, any time!

We’ll be posting more pictures from Wine Country as they come in. And if you missed it, I’m sorry.  But don’t fret. We have loads more ukulele merriment coming your way in the next few months:
